Funding Support for Rotorua Businesses Affected By Covid

Through a partnership with the Government’s Regional Business Partners Network, the Rotorua Chamber is able support you and your business respond to the COVID-19 with fully funded business advice from local professionals in the following specified areas:

  • HR & Employee Relations
  • Health and Wellness
  • Business Continuity Planning
  • Finance and cashflow Management
  • Marketing, Business and digital enablement strategy

Eligibility Criteria :

To access funding, businesses need to meet the following criteria:

  • registered on the Regional Business Partners website
  • have undergone an assessment with a Regional Partner (i.e. Growth Advisor); and
  • have a New Zealand Business Number; and
  • have between 1-100 full-time equivalent employees; and
  • are registered for GST in New Zealand; and
  • are operating in a commercial environment; and
  • are privately-owned businesses or are a Māori Trust or incorporation under the Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 or similar organisation managing Māori assets under multiple ownership.

How to Apply for Funding

If you are not already a Regional Business Partner’s client

  • Register your business at www.regionalbusinesspartners.co.nz (you will need your GST or IRD number)
  • You will be contacted by a Growth Advisor for a phone interview. Please be aware we have a large waiting list for this service, and it may take 2 weeks for our team to get back to you. Our apologies for the delay.

Who can apply for Covid Advisory funding ?

Any local business who is GST registered, and meets the eligibility criteria.

Who are the business coaches or service providers I can work with?

After discussing your situation with one of our team, a business coach or specialist service provider will be recommended for you to work with. These companies have been approved to provide services by NZTE in Wellington. Businesses can only work with approved business coaches and service providers.

What do the business coaches or service providers do ?

The coaches and service providers are able to give you and your business specialist advisory services in order to help you respond to COVID-19 . They are not able to undertake work for you or provide services other than professional advice.

Are website builds and upgrades covered by the funding ?

Website builds are not covered by the funding.

Will I get the money directly ?

No, the funding will be allocated directly to the business coach or service provider from NZTE.
