Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce CEO.
As the first female Maori leader in any Chamber of Commerce nationwide, Karla brings a unique perspective to regional development. She is of Ngati Kahungunu and Ngati Whakaue descent and is passionate about driving economic success.
Her career spans leadership in youth and fundraising initiatives for the Red Cross and Presbyterian Support, significantly expanding the Young Enterprise Scheme, and serving on the NZ Chambers of Commerce Board and MBIE’s Small Business Advisory Group.
Karla’s proudest role is raising her two spirited children.
