Hennessy’s Irish Bar is an iconic hospitality venue and was opened by Reg Hennessy coming up 22 years ago in the heart of Rotorua. Hennessy’s has consistently provided an important part of Rotorua hospitality for both international and NZ tourists. We take pride in the strong local support we continue to enjoy.

Our venue is based on a traditional Irish Pub and offers a variety of spaces which provide flexibility for events and hospitality. We offer excellent value food specials and cater for a variety of events with our team’s extensive hospitality experience.

With his positive attitude and considerable experience, Reg Hennessy has been an advocate for Hospitality serving on Hospitality New Zealand’s National Board, including as National Vice-President, and the BOP regional board over many years. He keenly supports Rotorua and its key place in Tourism at every opportunity. Reg continues to lead the team at Hennessy’s with the strong goal of being true to what we are and always being the best we can be.
