Frequently Asked Questions
What's the situation with airport transfers and transport during the conference?
If you are flying in and out of Rotorua, there are a range of ways you can get to your hotel. Please click here for options. You will need to arrange these yourself for you and your group.
While you're attending the conference, our opening event at Te Puia / Redwoods Treewalk has transfers to and from the host hotel (Novotel Rotorua Lakeside). If you are not staying at the Novotel, you will need to make your own way to the Novotel, or let us know and we may be able to pick you up along the way, or you can meet us at the venue. Just let us know your plans.
Our Gala Dinner is right next to the host hotel, so you can just wander down.
Is parking available?
Parking is available at the conference hotel venue (Novotel) at a discounted rate of $6 per day for day guests (scan the QR code when you arrive at our registration desk) and $15 per night for overnight guests.
What's the dress code?
Welcome Function - warm and practical dress - prepare for cold weather (and maybe wet!). You will travel by bus to Te Puia where there will be an outdoor powhiri, then you'll be transported via their "waka" on wheels to the venue where there'll be walking up some steps to a marquee (which should be warm). After Te Puia we will depart by bus to the Redwoods Treewalk (weather pending) - this is entirely outdoors so you'll definitely want to be nice and warm. Rotorua can be pretty chilly (and the treewalk is in the forest) - so a puffer and a warm hat might not go amiss.
Conference - casual business attire
Gala Dinner - your chance to dress up a little! It's a fab venue, so let's dress accordingly.

What do I need to bring?
You don't need to bring anything in particular, just what you would normally need in a day.
What meals are included in the conference?
Day One: You will need to source your own lunch - there are plenty of eateries nearby to the hotel venue. Afternooon tea is provided. There will be a decent selection of canapes at the Welcome Function at Te Puia and we will provide the first couple of drinks, together with a cash bar. After the Treewalk we're aiming to have a hot snack available!
Day Two: Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided at the conference venue. Dinner will be at Terrace Kitchen with a bar tab to cover the first couple of drinks, and a cash bar.
Day Three: Morning tea is provided at the conference venue.
How can I tell you about my dietary requirements?
Please indicate any dietary requirements in your registration form - or email: Delta@rotoruachamber.co.nz
What do I need to do with my Monopoly money and cards?
Great question! Please bring them with you as there will be special prize draws and ways to use the money during the conference. If you didn't receive any, please come and see us at the registration desk 😊
