Designing Beauty - Women in Business Xmas

Designing Beauty - Women in Business at Xmas

We're excited to have three talented and creative minds as guest speakers for our Women in Business 2019 Christmas finale. These designers of beauty will not only share their stories with us but will also have some of their amazing work on display. Shirelle, owner and creative behind flora in the wild will also be doing a demonstration of one of her floral pieces.

Join us for an evening of inspiration, celebration & networking over drinks and nibbles with our guest speakers, designers of beauty sharing their stories & more. Come dressed in your Christmas attire or wearing your best Christmas accessories.

Marlene Hudson:

Drawing upon 13 years’ experience in the interior design industry and over 20 years in professional services, I am well versed in what it takes to transform a client’s aspirations into functional, future proof spaces. Born of a dressmaker, watching my mother making clothes, curtains and wedding dresses gave me an appreciation of bespoke design.

Before retraining, I spent my early career in the corporate world, I cut my teeth on project management, process improvement and customer services.

During my time as an interior designer, I have cultivated a design process that ensures space reflects those who occupy it. It’s important to me that I create a space that resolves client constraints and frustrations while delivering desired goals – it’s no good if it looks pretty but doesn’t work well. I consider ergonomics and spatial needs with every design.

Every aspect of my design process is given careful consideration and attention – the finished product will reflect you. No two projects are ever the same.

Michelle Cutelli:

I capture beautiful images that will change the way you see yourself. Give confidence and empower you through Personal branding, corporate, portrait and wedding photography.

My clients include Polynesian Pools, Chamber of Commerce, SCANLAN THEODORE, Toni Maticevski, Versace, CHANEL, Christian Dior and Cate Blanchett.

L’OREAL Paris Australia commissioned me for spokeswoman and Makeup Creative director for The Melbourne Fashion Festival, Melbourne Cup and Spring racing carnival's live TV broadcast.

People often think they’re not photogenic until they have a photoshoot with me. My speciality is bringing out the best in you.

Shirelle Forgie:

I am a qualified florist with a passion for Undone Floristry, a wild and romantic take on flowers inspired by nature and the changing seasons.

A life-long love affair with all things floral, it wasn’t until after I had my children that I finally decided to follow my heart and forge a career with flowers.  I  love to use locally grown, seasonal blooms as much as possible and with that in mind I moved my 3 girls and myself out of the city to a wee patch of dirt in rural Bay of Plenty to grow my own and I haven’t looked back.

Whether it is the daily bouquets, dried arrangements, weddings or workshops, I just love what I do. Flowers make me happy.
