A Dynamic Trio - GOAL Digger, Travel Designer, Lawyer - BNZ Women in Business

Join us for morning tea and hear the stories of three driven businesswomen who are experts in their line of work. Our Women in Business Event Series is about empowering women in business. Everyone has a different journey and experience to share - be inspired and aspire to be.

LEFT: GOAL Digger, Tammy-Lee has evolved from local government marketing and public relations work to employment and recruitment consulting. With well over a decade of experience working in the careers, education and employment fields, she lives and breathes being a career planner and HR Consultant. She has had thousands of happy and successful clients and currently works with over 45 SME’s in the Bay of Plenty.

Tammy-Lee has a firm background in staff management and development, employing people with disabilities, working with secondary students and parents, polytechnic and university students of all ages and disciplines, and those faced with the excitement of career change. Goal Digger primarily provides career counselling, EAP, career transition assistance (interview coaching, CV writing), human resources services and recruitment. 

On the side, Tammy-Lee raises her two young girls here in Rotorua and is the co-founder of Little Love Foundation.

CENTRE: Travel Designer, Joanna (Jo) lives to travel and works to travel, travel comes first, it’s her passion and it has been like that from the start and will be at the finish. She is a travel expert in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia, South Pacific Islands USA, Australia. Jo became a world traveller by not choosing the group tour! and said “I get the biggest buzz from wandering through the markets, having a coffee in a local cafe and just watching the locals just do what they do. I like being amongst it all and not having to experience it through a window.” She says that what she enjoys most about working with her clients is, “the journey of ‘someone' new sitting with me, travelling through their first adventure and becoming part of their world of travel, making a friend, learning what's important to them, and creating a travel experience just for them”. One thing Jo never travels without are her lipsticks!

RIGHT: Lawyer, Caroline (Caro) leads the employment team at Morrison Kent.  Her specialist employment law experience extends to all areas of employment law she is an experienced advocate who regularly represents clients at mediation and the ERA.  She also appears as lead Counsel in the Employment Court, High Court, and the Court of Appeal. 

Caro advises a wide range of clients from national and international organisations, small to medium size businesses and individuals and has significant experience advising Early Childhood Education providers and Schools.

Caro is regularly appointed as an independent investigator for workplace matters and has investigated on a wide range of issues including workplace bullying and sexual harassment in the workplace. Caro’s passion for employment law means she regularly presents seminars.  She is also actively involved in the NZLS – Wellington Branch Employment Law Committee and NZLS – Wellington Branch Women in Law Committee and has previously been a convenor of that committee.
